The special APX bracing design delivers excellent response with a thicker mid and high range tone. Inheriting the basic specifications from APX500, the 500II offers a newly developed Yamaha original preamp/piezo pickup. This new pickup is an under-saddle type, yet the piezo element is individually placed for each string in order to catch more accurate sound information. Another plus, along with the APX's great playability, is its capability for smooth lead playing.
